Anna Reynolds lives in the beautiful Conwy Valley, North Wales, where the surroundings add more than a little inspiration to her writing. An avid reader since childhood, she gained a First in English Literature at the University of Wales, Bangor, before going on to study Early Mediaeval Studies at MA level at the University of York.
Anna now divides her time between her children, her computer, and her cats.
She has always had an unusual outlook on life, and was diagnosed as autistic in her late thirties, a condition which adds greatly to her ability to create worlds with words. Her writing is described as engrossing and unique.
Her first novel, How Glass Becomes Sand, was published (as A. L. Doughty) while she was still at university. Since then she has published three works of literary fiction, Of the Ninth Verse, The Myth of Wings, and, most recently, Seaside Towns. She has also released a collection of poetry called Drift. Two young adult fantasy novels, The Copper Ransom and Angelwings, and a number of literary fiction novels, are currently undergoing revision.
